The City of Canada Bay council required a video promotion for their ‘20 Year Plan’ also known as ‘Future Plans 20’ (FP20). The plan had been developed through consultation and discussions with community members, stakeholders and industry experts interested in voicing their opinion about the area’s future. Ultimately the video would represent the City of Canada Bay as a promotional piece for the internationally renowned Livcom awards – awarding the Best Economical and Liveable City in the World.

In the concept stages, PostBox Producer Sarah Linton instilled themes such as “A Liveable City, Moving City, Prosperous City...” by highlighting members and business owners of the community through street interviews and scenarios on what they thought the City of Canada Bay offered to its people. The promotional video needed to present class so we filmed with a 35mm Prime Lens adapted onto the Sony XDCAM EX3. Fused together with graphic components, transitions and plates, the sound bites and testimonials mixed with an emotional music-scape encapsulated the best scenario for the Council and their City.

The good news is the video played a massive part in the council winning the award for Best Economical and Liveable City in the World! Congratulations Canada Bay.
