5 Star Hotel plays with RED
C4 Communication and Accor Group's first experience with the phenomenal RED camera was, simply put, smooth sailing.
When PostBox was handed the high resolution imagery, there were doubts of the RED to Avid workflow. Instead, the team found the rewrapping workflow amazingly efficient and the visual result compelling. Unlike other editing applications, Avid encodes as it imports, allowing powerhouse Avid Symphony Nitris DX to complete an uncompressed 1080P edit, grade and finishing all without rendering. That's time saved for the client and more time to be creative, and that's what PostBox enjoys.
The Accor hotel was shot in 2K, 3K and 4K resolutions, the images were absolutely stunningly detailed. Complementing the high quality resolution was the brilliant art direction of director Tony Pepe. His dream-like framing and intelligent lighting paved the way for a masterful grade, edit and overall finish in post.
All in all, armed with quality equipment and material, PostBox had the necessary elements to create a strong aesthetic experience and a heavily marketable campaign for the Accor Group.
