Austereo commissioned the services of PostBox to create an explosive piece promoting Australia’s first digital radio station. Very much an anticipated advancement in radio playback, allowing listeners to access multimedia content such as images and texts on digital radios and be part of an interactive medium that no one’s seen before.

Though the national digital radio system will not be officially launched until May, RADAR wanted PostBox to collaborate a sequence for Australians to get a good taste of what’s to come. The PostBox project was to provide a stimulating visual demonstration of the technology, portraying the interactive interface of the new RADAR website. The presentation was originally used as the headlining video at the launch evening of digital radio in Australia.

PostBox stepped up and worked within a tight turnaround of only 3 days and dealt with the demanding huge 4k imagery elements supplied. The After Effects capacity was stretched to animate a 5 minute sequence of pure energy in High Definition. Titles popped, subwoofers bounced, text came alive, all emulating a digital radio frequency.
