Aussie Bob and PostBox

Somewhere amongst the colossal ‘Under Belly’ furor were the true underworld figures that gave the series a platitude of plot lines and unforgettable characters. Ikandy, the production company, went where many wouldn’t and approached PostBox to help document one of Australia’s most infamous underworld figures, “Aussie Bob” Trimbole.

To coincide with Australia’s most popular television series, Channel Nine commissioned the documentary ‘Trimbole’ to take us behind the scenes revealing the events leading up to the underworld wars. PostBox ventured to provide an opening title sequence worthy of a notorious crim. Of course that meant replicating the high production standard of the hit drama series ‘Under Belly’.

In addition to high-expectations, PostBox had the demanding task of creating a compelling intro from a handful of stills and photographs. PostBox made punchy, striking and sinister cuts supported by the replicated animation whilst keeping a semblance of the PostBox signature. The result: a nail biting, spine tingling, opening clincher.
