To their great delight, Postbox was asked to follow on from the prolific Coldplay music documentary to capture the equally talented urban soul career of Alicia Keys. The 1-hour feature for Max Masters, produced by Sarah Linton, punctuated the artist’s extreme ability by combining captivating interviews, entertaining performances and the real persona behind the smooth vocalist.
Sarah Linton and Aaron Petersen poignantly documents Alicia’s story from music student to masterful songstress and world aid volunteer seamlessly. Hype and grandeur is refreshingly filtered for a more intimate and retrospective look; even if Alicia Keys is not your thing, you will be swept up by a well paced, inspiring portrait.
Steps were taken to ensure a credible, yet entertaining documentary could be experienced for music lovers Australia-wide from one of the few channels considered to be at the forefront of Australian music – Music MAX.
