Easy Fever for PostBox
Easy Beats holds the legacy of becoming Australia’s first internationally successful band, breaking into the market with prolific song writing and memorable stage performances.
So, when asked to put together a Sizzle Reel for their tribute album showcasing covers delivered by top contemporary Australian artists, PostBox took it by the horns.
“Tightly packed, energy popping, with a massive crescendo of big names paying their respects by doing what they know best” – some person in the audience.
Martin Taylor and Steve Hopes attended all the recording sessions and filmed the intimate performances. PostBox was then provided with more than 9 hours of material showcasing the countries best talent: Grinspoon, Jimmy Barnes, The Living End, Faker and more. The challenge was to interweave the performances, interviews and Easy Beats archival footage into an explosive 5 minute hype video… All within a high demanding 4 days so it was bums down, heads up for the PostBox team, spurred on by an iconic Australian group deserving of a high quality result.
In the end, PostBox achieved a package that impressively complemented the album’s launch and all were very happy to be part of a significant moment within the music industry.
