Troyton hands PostBox the controls
Produced by Sarah Linton, directed by Aaron Petersen and packaged by the PostBox Team, the Troyton Racing Simulator proved to be an impressive campaign from the get-go.
When a virtual racing chassis combines adrenaline pumping motion and an elaborate computer work station automatically one thinks ‘big budget’ production to capture its energy. Needless to say, the team was not dealt with this aspiring budget, relying on clever resourcefulness instead.
“This was an exciting product, we had so many ideas that could do it justice, but, realistically, few could be executed on a minimal budget. In the end we put our heads together to make the very most of what we had and ended up with an amazingly effective TVC irrespective of budget.” Sarah Linton, Producer.
Injected with explosive 3D and comping effects, a strong grade and an editing rhythm effectively ‘simulating’ auto-racing dynamics, the result had the client singing the team’s praises.
The TVC’s exposure has proved so successful that the product has featured twice in Top Gear Australia magazine and has received more than 10,000 hits on the website within the first weeks of airing.
